Boots donated make a difference
This team now has premier boots to play in and they could be from their playing heroes, all the boots have been donated by football players. Shipped to Senegal and put to good use, training players of the future.
Rufisque
Rufisque is situated outside the capital Dakar, Senegal, the programme has a similar concept to the one in Kedougou but deals with an older age group. Developed to provide a skills school for children who are too old to attend school but have no education. They are called provisional schools which provide skills training for electrician's and carpenters. Youths attending the school are allowed to enter the football programme whilst being educated with a trade. Sport4Charity helps to provide valuable equipment and teachers, while providing sports facilities, coaches and managers to run the programmes.
There is a close working relationship between the school and the football programme, the philosophy is the same in each area no school, no football. The vital skills training programme furnishes people with a trade that will give them a better future. These trained craftsmen and women may then return to their villages and help to build facilities to improve the local community through housing and community building programmes. It is only with the help and investment that sport4charity has provided that this specialised facility has been able to be developed in Rufisque.
